How far along should I be?
It's best to be at least 16 weeks for a gender scan, that's usually a 2D scan. The recommended time for a 4D is usually between 27-32 weeks.
How far in advance should I make an appointment?
It is good to schedule at least 2-3 weeks in advance if you have a less flexible schedule.
Should I do anything to prepare?
It's good to be hydrated before your scan so drink plenty of water daily about 3-4 weeks ahead of your appointment to stay hydrated. It's best if your baby is awake so eat a good snack or meal about 30 minutes before. That usually gets them moving!
What payments are accepted? Will insurance cover this?
We accept cash, check, Visa and MasterCard. Insurance will not cover this because it is elective.
Does the take the place of the ultrasound at my physician's office?
No, it doesn't. Your physician will want a comprehensive anatomy scan to check that the pregnancy is progressing normally and the baby is developing well. What we do does not replace the needed medical scans your doctor will order for diagnostic purposes.
Can I bring my family?
Absolutely! This is such a special time for the whole family. We recommend no more than 5-6 friends or family.
